Opportunité

At DDB, all design workflows are managed in ClickUp, while all proofing is done in PageProof. Given the nature of the work, synchronization needs to be bi-directional and near real-time.

Solution

In close collaboration with DDB and PageProof, we developed a near real-time, bi-directional synchronization tool for ClickUp and PageProof. The solution is written in TypeScript, uses NodeJS, and is hosted on AWS.

At DDB, a leading global advertising agency, design workflows reside entirely within ClickUp, a popular project management tool. However, the final proofing of creative assets happened in PageProof, an industry-standard proofing platform. This disjointed approach led to several challenges:

Time-consuming context switching: Teams wasted valuable time jumping between ClickUp and PageProof, hindering overall efficiency.
Manual data entry errors: The need to manually transfer information between platforms increased the risk of errors and inconsistencies.
Approval delays: Slow synchronization between systems caused delays in the approval process, impacting project timelines.

DDB partnered with code.store to develop a custom, real-time, bi-directional connector between ClickUp and PageProof. This innovative solution eliminated the need for manual data entry and ensured seamless communication between both platforms.
